What will matter at the end of life?

“It’s not death that concerns me, because it’s a fact. What concerns me is what I do with my life while my death has not yet happened, so that this life is not trivial, superficial, futile, and small.” – Mario Sergio Cortella

Do you want a simple tool that makes you reflect on how you’ve been living your life? The Wheel of Life is a great option!

Draw a circle divided into six or eight important categories in your life. Family, Career, Finances, Health, Spirituality, Education, Friends, Culture, and Love are some examples of composition, but the approach is flexible and allows for customization according to what each individual wants to analyze.

Once you’ve categorized your tool, mark a scale from zero (at the center) to ten (at the edge). With the segmented and labeled circle in hand, think about how much attention you’ve been giving to each slice and place an “X” at the corresponding number. This way, each category receives a rating indicating how much of a priority it has been in your daily life.

The goal is to reflect on it and create an action plan to achieve a more satisfying balance in the future. First and foremost, ask yourself if the result makes you happy or if you would like it to be different.

Some consider fear as a natural bodily response, while others say it’s a limiting belief. The correct answer is definitely the first one.
There are moments when this fear reaches levels where our only option is to feel anguish. And embracing this feeling is the first step to get through it.
The fear of making mistakes and perfectionism go hand in hand and can be significant enemies of your mental health.
Our emotions are automatic reactions to the experiences we go through, and what defines what we feel in a given situation is our own life history.
